Here in the Locks & Gold studio, we are avid (and slightly obsessional) collectors of vintage fabrics, textiles and trims. Be that old white lace table cloths, napkins, embroideries, laces, printed fabrics, buttons and trims, we use and make from what we find.

to reuse something for a different purpose from the one that was originally intended.

We re-purpose these precious treasures and incorporate them into each garment we make. They also serve as valuable inspiration for our range of exclusive in-house printed fabrics designed by Alice that we digitally print in small runs in the UK.

Alice creates the range of prints by combining elements of hand stitching, collage, appliqué, traditional patching, and mending techniques, alongside the use of modern technologies. Team these unique prints with re-purposed original vintage fabrics, add in your personalised letter, and you couldn’t ask for a more bespoke, unique, hand made and individual addition to your or your child’s wardrobe.
